Yes, Alpha video puts a watermark on their product. Let me tell you how ironic that is. Some years ago I purchased a VHS copy of "Dead Men Walk" from Sinister Cinema. which as far as I know is strictly mail order. I watched it and noticed certain parts of the film had some noticeable flaws, but it didn't bother me too much. A few years later, when I changed over to DVD, I bought an Alpha copy and noticed it had the same flaws in the same places! I'll bet a lot of stuff they put out is from Sinister Cinema because just about everything Alpha has, Sinister's got in their catalog and then some! But the stuff's PD so what can you do?

Yeah. They all sponge off each other. I have 2 copies of Wild Guitar from 2 different distributors and its the EXACT same copy. Same splices in the same parts. Same bad jumps. etc.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of these guys work off each other, but I still wouldn't be surprised if the source material originated from Sinister Cinema. Sinister usually sources from film prints and not so much from video or digital product. I've been buying from them for years and I've noticed a lot of their prints are pretty well worn.
